Important Note: If you are applying to certain residency specialties, including Emergency Medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynecology, please see Support for ResidencyCAS Residency Application Services for information on how ECFMG can support your application.

AAMC's ERAS allows medical school students and graduates to apply electronically for first- and second-year (PGY-1 and PGY-2) residency positions in U.S. programs of graduate medical education. ECFMG serves as the designated Dean’s office for all international medical students/graduates (IMGs) who use ERAS. As the designated Dean’s office, ECFMG assists IMGs throughout the MyERAS application process.

ERAS Support Services at ECFMG issues each applicant an ERAS Token, which allows the applicant to access the AAMC MyERAS website to complete his/her residency application. ERAS Support Services also receives the applicant’s supporting documents and transmits them to the MyERAS application, where they can be downloaded by the residency programs to which the applicant has applied.

We realize the MyERAS application and U.S. residency recruitment processes are stressful for applicants. ERAS Support Services is committed to providing optimal service, quick turnaround times, and guidance to all who seek our assistance. ECFMG:

  • collaborates with medical schools through the ERAS interface within ECFMG’s MyIntealth Entity Portal;
  • provides client support to international medical school representatives for their inquiries as they pertain to the MyERAS application process, the ERAS interface of ECFMG’s MyIntealth Entity Portal, and any individual applicant issues that may arise; and
  • provides medical schools with ongoing educational outreach.

Participating in ERAS via MyIntealth Entity Portal

The MyIntealth Entity Portal provides access to ECFMG’s services for international medical schools and includes a program for ERAS Support Services.

Through the MyIntealth Entity Portal, international medical schools upload supporting documents on behalf of their students and graduates; track receipt of these supporting documents by ECFMG; and verify the ERAS registration activity of their students and graduates.

Please note that students and graduates of schools that participate in ERAS through the MyInteath Entity Portal will not have the ability to upload Medical Student Performance Evaluations (MSPEs) and medical school transcripts themselves. These documents must be uploaded via the MyIntealth Entity Portal on their behalf by the participating medical schools.

The MyIntealth Entity Portal is available to international medical schools at no cost. ECFMG processes documents uploaded through MyIntealth within five business days.

For more information on how a medical school can participate in the ERAS service through the MyIntealth Entity Portal, please contact us.
